All most every attraction in Hawaii operates all year long, so whenever you can visit Hawaii the fun and adventure will be waiting. Some specific things to look for is the hurricane season which officially runs from June to November. Although the Hawaiian Islands are not often hit by hurricanes, but if traveling during these months its always good to check the forecast before planning a vacation. The rainy season runs from November to March, averaging near 4 inches per month If you are visiting Hawaii for the waves then you are in luck because they wave are great all year if you are on the right part of the island! Hawaii actually has two surfing seasons. The biggest waves hit the north shores of all the islands between November and March. The massive waves are generated from the winter storms around Alaska. During the north shore surfing season there are two prime spots for catching great waves. First, because of the lay of the land and ocean floor near Oahu's north shore, this area becomes very favorably for getting enormous waves and endless barrels. The second place for surfing action is on Maui’s north shore, particularly the Hookipa Beach. This area also receives amazing waves and always has the perfect surfing conditions. When summer arrives in Hawaii, the once giant waves on the north shores become flat and unsuitable for surfing. However, on the south shore, things are different. Due to the tropical storms in the South Pacific, waves are sent northwards to reach Hawaii’s shoreline. Perfect surfing waves can be found on the south shores between June and October. It is important to mention that these waves are not as intense as the winter waves, but you will not be disappointed. Visit Waikiki and Poipu beach for waves that are excellent for surfing and boogie boarding. contact@discoverhawaiianbeauty.com |
